Tour Description
The Laguna Oviedo tour is an exciting adventure that will take you to explore some of the most impressive natural wonders of the Dominican Republic. During this trip, you will have the opportunity to visit several tourist attractions, such as the Larimar Workshop and Museum School, where you can learn about the history and culture of the local area and admire the beauty of this beautiful semi-precious stone.
San Rafael Beach, a tropical paradise surrounded by lush vegetation and crystal-clear waters. There you can relax, swim, and enjoy the sun and the beach.
Next, you will head to the San Rafael Two Rivers Spa, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the rivers and waterfalls, as well as the various water sports and recreational activities available. You will also visit Los Patos Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the area, with its turquoise waters and soft white sands.
Next, you will visit the Los Cocos Wind Park, a renewable energy project consisting of several impressive wind turbines. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of the coast and the lagoon. Afterward, you will visit the Salado Creek, a beautiful creek surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and native fauna.
Finally, the tour will culminate at Laguna Oviedo, a saltwater body of water and one of the largest lagoons in the Dominican Republic. Escuela Taller y Museo Larimar
Guided tour to learn about the manufacturing process of larimar stone jewelry, a unique semi-precious stone in the world with a beautiful blue color and declared the national stone of the Dominican Republic. Visiting time: 45 minutes. Possibility of buying jewelry.
Playa San Rafael
Panoramic tour by vehicle through one of the most impressive beaches in the Dominican Republic, with its unique and spectacular landscape. Visiting time: 15 minutes.
Balneario Villa Miriam
Visit to the private residence created in 1970 by Mr. Nabij Khoury, a Lebanese merchant and industrialist based in Barahona, Dominican Republic. Villa Miriam is a charming paradisiacal place where we can find a series of fed pools. Visiting time: 45 minutes. Entrance included.
Balneario Los Dos Rios de San Rafael
Panoramic visit to the place where the green and leafy mountains meet the spectacular Caribbean Sea. You will be able to take a photo that will be a memory for a lifetime. Visiting time: 15 minutes.
Playa de Los Patos
Panoramic tour by vehicle along this pebble beach, popular with surfers, and where the Los Patos River forms a large natural pool. Visiting time: 15 minutes.
Parque Eólico Los Cocos
Panoramic visit to the largest wind farm in the Caribbean and Central America, connected to the national grid and with a capacity of 77 megawatts. Get to know how it works on a one-hour tour. Visiting time: 1 hour.
Arroyo Salado
Visit to the little-known spa surrounded by vegetation and mangroves, with brackish-tasting water and a transparent color. Located near the Colonia de Juancho and in an area of mangroves. Visiting time: 30 minutes. Free entrance.
Laguna de Oviedo
Visit to the Oviedo Lagoon, located in the heart of the Jaragua National Park (Pedernales), an oasis for migratory birds, rhinoceros iguanas, plant varieties and local communities. Observation of the four species of mangroves (red mangrove, black mangrove, white mangrove), flamingos, spoonbills, mangrove canaries, several species of herons, terns and many others. Visiting time: 2 hours. Free entrance.
