Tour Description

Welcome to the tour “Between Fresh and Salt Waters”! This exciting tour will take you through some of the most beautiful and exciting places in the Dominican Republic, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and immerse yourself in the local culture.

We will go to the Arroyo Salado Spa, where you can relax on the beach and enjoy the beautiful views of the sea. Next, we will visit the Los Cocos Wind Farm, where you will learn about wind energy and enjoy the view of the majestic windmills.

We will continue our tour visiting the beaches of Los Patos and San Rafael, where you can enjoy the sun, the sea and the sand. Afterwards, we will visit the Villa Miriam Residence, a historic house that offers an impressive view of the Caribbean Sea.

Then, we will go to the Larimar Workshop School and Museum, where you will learn about the history and production process of the beautiful larimar stone. Finally, we will visit the beautiful Quemaito beach, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Caribbean coast.

Los Pozos de Romeo is a hidden gem in the beautiful region of Pedernales. Three ecological wells with crystal clear fresh water await to be discovered by those seeking a refreshing and unique experience.

Laguna de Oviedo

Oviedo Lagoon An oasis for our birds and migratory birds, for our rhinoceros iguana, for a great variety of plants and for the local community members who have found their livelihood in the lagoon. Here you will be able to observe the four species of mangroves (red mangrove, black mangrove, white mangrove), flamingos, spoonbills, mangrove canaries, several species of herons, terns, and many others.

Parque Eolico Los Cocos

Rising to the height of a 40-story building, it is almost impossible to comprehend the magnitude of these wind turbines until you drive very close on the Pedernales highway. Los Cocos Wind Farm is not only the largest in the Caribbean and Central America, but it is also the first in the Dominican Republic connected to the national grid. With a capacity of 77 megawatts, its 40 windmills generate enough power to power a million light bulbs. Visit this wind farm and learn how it works on a one-hour tour.

Playa de Los Patos
